Pickin' Berries...

It gets hot...very hot in Maryland...but hey a little heat never stopped Anna from having fun and picking more blueberries than we could ever eat...

Mommy, Daddy & Anna graduate, FINALLY!

Yes, it's been awhile--almost a year--since Annagrams has been up and running. But Mommy, Daddy and Anna have been VERY busy during that time. Hopefully we'll be able to do a better job keeping you up to date with our lives. :)

In June, Mommy, Daddy & Anna officially wrapped up our time at Northwestern. Since we haven't lived in Chicago in over a year (and we miss it!) we were all happy to have some time to enjoy some of our old favorite places! It was a whirlwind weekend, but a wonderful one!

So much to be thankful for...

Yes, I know it's been too long for all you fans of Anna and I still have Halloween photos to post. But, this morning Anna sang this song--she learned it in chapel at preschool--and I thought it was a nice reminder for the upcoming holiday! Love to all!

Pontoon Storytime

Anna & Mommy went on a very cool mid-week adventure--pontoon story time! After getting our life jackets, we set off to learn about & look for bald eagles. Our tour guide and storyteller extraordinaire warned us that we were unlikely to see any eagles, but would probably see some other fun animal friends. We saw turtles basking, a great blue heron and, lo and behold, two bald eagles! It was a great nature adventure and Anna loved being on a boat.

Skele-pumpkin

During Aunt Julie's last visit, she brought Anna a Mr. Potatohead style Skeleton Pumpkin. Anna & Mommy had a lot of fun putting it together! Thanks, Aunt Julie!

Just a day on the farm...

From whitewashing a fence to making her own hand-dipped candle, Anna got a taste of farm living at the Agricultural Festival. It was a day of family fun--from the sheepdog display to some family tin-smithing. What a great way to kick off the fall!

PBS Rules!

A hot September Saturday at the National Book Festival meant lots of free stuff about reading--including some great new books--AND getting to meet some PBS characters, including Abby Cadaby, Sid the Science Kid & DUCK from Word World. Anna said she "really enjoying meeting the people dressed as characters"--no fooling this kid. :)

Splish SPLASH!!

On a fun (if not a tiny bit chilly!) Saturday, Mommy, Daddy & Anna headed to Brookside Nature Center (one of our favorite places!) for a stream splash. There was some serious splashing, along with trying to catch fish and other watery friends with a big net. Daddy managed to catch a little fish, which quickly we let go to be with her family.
