I Left My Heart in San Francisco (Day 3)

On our third day in SF, we spent the day in Golden Gate Park, enjoying the balmy (at least compared to Chicago!) weather and the big trees. Anna also made time to chase some birds and just relax--this was vacation after all!

I Left My Heart in San Francisco (Day 2)

Daddy had a little bit of work to do while we were in SF (or "Cisco" as Anna called it), so after a fabulous breakfast at Dottie's, Mommy and Anna went to the 'Zeum (a kid's museum) and the ride the merry-go-round. The up and down horsies made Anna "Too dizzy, mama," so we found a neat dragon to sit on. At the 'Zeum Anna danced, made a snowgirl mask and had some fun building. Although we missed Daddy, it wasa really fun day!

I Left My Heart in San Francisco (Day 1)

Daddy won a fellowship (hooray!) so we all got to go to San Francisco for a little vacation. The first day we walked (and walked and walked...Mommy kept saying, "It's not that much further, we can walk...") to Fisherman's Wharf where Anna got her first glimpse of the Pacific, as well as the yummy sourdough bread animals!

Christmas in the Burgh: Part 3-The reason for the season

Having heard a lot about baby Jesus, Anna was pretty excited to meet him and see the manger after mass. She even gave him her special star as a birthday present!

Christmas in the Burgh: Part 2--Pre-Xmas shenanigans

Anna loves getting ready for Christmas almost as much as Christmas itself. From picking a tree, to hanging out with her new pal Frosty, to seeing the trains with her grandparents, this Christmas season sure is fun!

It's a Burgh Christmas: Part 1--Eat N Park

Anna knows one of the "sweetest" things about any visit to the 'Burgh is a visit to Smiley's house (Eat N Park) complete with a Smiley cookie (Tree shaped for the holidays!) Yummy!
