Walking (and skating! and jumping! and sliding!) in a winter wonderland!
One of the perks of Mommy and Daddy's status as grad students? Getting to go to cool family events like the Winter Wonderfest for free! We went last year and had fun, but wow what a difference a year makes! Anna LOVED it and was able to do so many more things. She even went ice skating (with a little help from Daddy) for the very first time! Hmmm...maybe Mommy and Daddy should stay grad students forever...

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
We had our first real snow in Chicago today, so Anna and Mommy bundled up to play outside! Anna built her first snowman and then knocked him down! Even though it was a little chilly, we had a lot of fun!

Santa Claus is coming to town (and Anna's having breakfast with him)!
Anna took Mommy and Daddy to the Chicago Botanic Gardens to meet her friend Santa and enjoy a lovely breakfast with him. The big man himself was looking very good and told Anna AND Mommy and Daddy that we had all been very good this year--what a relief! We also got to check out a very cool train display complete with hand-carved Chicago miniatures--like "the Bean." Anna also got some very cool kaleidoscope glasses that make Christmas trees and lights look all rainbow-y. It was a very fun morning!

Thanksgiving is delicious!
Because things are a little busy here, Anna, Mommy, and Daddy stayed in Chicago for a small, but fun Thanksgiving dinner this year. We missed everyone in the 'burgh, but still managed to enjoy some seriously delicious food and a table decorated with Anna's fabulous art! Gobble, gobble!
