Morton Arboretum: Our Last TGS Family Day Out

One of the perks of Mommy & Daddy being grad students is Northwestern's TGS Family Day Out--a FREE (paid for by The Graduate School!) outing to a cool, family friendly place with other grad students & their families. Over the past two years, we've attended quite a few from the Botanical Gardens to Navy Pier's Winter Wonderland. This weekend, for our last TGS event we made our first ever trip to the Morton Arboretum in Lisle (45 min. away from Chicago). It started off a little shaky with rain and thunder, but shaped up to be a beautiful day! We spent the afternoon in the Children's garden discovering fairies, catching tadpoles (Mommy, Daddy & Anna's favorite part!) and climbing tree roots. It was a great last "Family Day Out!"
